Nandhakumar Sekar is an East Bengal FC attacker who has featured in every one of the club's 19 Indian Super League games in 2023/2024 and accumulated 1,365 minutes of playing time, starting in 14 of these and being used as a substitute on five occasions. Sekar last appeared in an Indian Super League game on March 10, playing 90 minutes for East Bengal FC versus Mohun Bagan Super Giant in a 3-1 defeat. The attacker has scored five Indian Super League goals this campaign, which is tied for the 10th most by a player in the competition in 2023/2024, whilst he also ranks joint eighth for Indian Super League assists this season having created three goals for his team-mates. He has been shown a yellow card once. It was against Chennaiyin FC on February 26 when Sekar last scored, netting in a 1-0 win. His opening goals of the campaign came in the 5-0 victory against NorthEast United FC on December 4, when he scored twice. East Bengal FC, who have 18 points are in 10th spot in the table, head to Kerala Blasters FC on April 3 the next time they are in Indian Super League action. Last season for Odisha FC, Sekar made 20 Indian Super League appearances, scored six goals and provided one assist. Before joining East Bengal FC in June 2023, Sekar made 141 league appearances in total at Odisha FC, scoring 17 goals and providing 16 assists.
