Loken Meitei began his career with the youth set-up at Royal Wahingdoh before spending time on loan with Shillong first division side, Shillong United for the 2014 season. He made his professional debut for Royal Wahingdoh in the Hero I-League in 2015 against Bharat FC. He was picked up as a developmental player by Kerala Blasters FC in the draft leading up to Hero ISL 2017-18 alongside Lalthakima and played six matches that season. After failing to make an appearance during the 2018-19 season, Loken joined TRAU FC, for the 2019-20 season, making five appearances in the Hero I-League. Loken returns to the Hero ISL for the 2020-21 season, this time with SC East Bengal.
