Midfielder
Bio
After graduating from the Esporte Clube Santo Andre academy in 2007, Leo Costa has spent most of his career enjoying short stints with clubs in Brazil. His first move to foreign shores came in 2009 when he joined Czech outfit 1. FC Brno. The following season saw the attacking midfielder return to his native Brazil and sign for Uniao Sao Joao. He later played for numerous Brazilian clubs like Itumbiara, Sao Bernardo, Vila Nova, Rio Branco, Guarani and Rio Claro. Costa enjoyed most success during his time with Rio Claro for whom he was the top scorer of the 2014 Campeonato Paulista, netting nine times. Season 3 of Hero ISL was his first taste of football in Asia and he scored twice while also notching an assist. Unsurprisingly, he was retained by the Mumbaikars for the new season.
