Touted as a prodigious talent ever since his school days, David Lalrinmuana began his footballing education in Mohun Bagan's Academy in Durgapur. Scoring the only goal for his club in a Manchester United FC-sponsored under-15 tournament in Manchester was the biggest highlight for him during his stay at the Kolkatan giants' academy. He then signed for Aizawl FC and played several local tournaments before representing the north-east outfit in the 2012 I-League 2nd Division. The following year saw him signing for newly-promoted ONGC FC of the I-League before the 2012-13 campaign. He represented Aizawl FC in the I-League last season and is set for his first taste of the Hero ISL this year.
