Rupert Nongrum, the Punjab midfielder, has played in the majority of the team's I-League games in 2020/2021, making eight appearances overall and accumulating 462 minutes of playing time. He has been selected in the starting XI in four of these appearances across their 15 fixtures and been used as a substitute on four occasions. Nongrum last appeared in a competition match on March 27 for Punjab against Churchill Brothers. He provided an assist in that match for his side in the team's 3-2 loss. In total, he has notched two I-League goals in 2020/2021, making him tied as the side's third-top league scorer, and chipped in with one assist. He has been shown a yellow card once. Nongrum last scored in the league in the 2-0 win against Chennai City on February 13, netting in the 88th minute. He opened his account for the campaign against Gokulam on January 14, scoring during a 4-3 loss. Prior to joining Punjab in October 2020, Nongrum made four league appearances in total at NorthEast United.
