Lallianzuala Chhangte, the Mumbai City FC attacker, has played in the vast majority of the team's Indian Super League matches in 2023/2024, making 22 appearances overall and playing 1,576 minutes. He has started in 17 of these appearances across their 21 fixtures and come on as a substitute on five occasions. Chhangte last featured in the competition on April 15 for Mumbai City FC versus Mohun Bagan Super Giant. In that match the Indian player found the back of the net for his side in their 2-1 defeat. He has currently netted in three Indian Super League appearances in a row. The attacker has scored seven Indian Super League goals this season, whilst he also ranks joint fourth for Indian Super League assists this campaign having assisted six goals for his team-mates. A first goal of the league season for Chhangte came against Bengaluru FC in a 4-0 victory on December 8. Chhangte played 22 Indian Super League games last season for Mumbai City FC, scored 10 goals and provided six assists. Chhangte previously played for Chennaiyin FC before linking up with Mumbai City FC on loan in January 2022. He made 53 league appearances in total at Chennaiyin FC, scoring 12 goals and providing two assists. His switch to Mumbai City FC was made permanent in June 2022.
