Hailing from Malappuram, Kerala, Zakeer Mundampara impressed when called upon by Chennaiyin FC during the business end of Hero ISL 2015 and stayed there for the next season as well. He switched over to the West Coast as he joined Mumbai City FC for Hero ISL 2017-18 and made six appearances for the side. Having already played for a team in the Hero I-League from Kerala before (Viva Kerala), he is a decent addition to a Kerala Blasters side vying for trophies.
