Kuttymani, a native of Bengaluru, started his professional career with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited SC in the National Football League (renamed I-League in 2007). Having spent a solitary season there, Kuttymani shifted to Mumbai FC for three seasons giving solid service to the Mumbaikars. Thereafter he shifted to Pune FC for a solitary season before returning back for three more seasons at the Mumbaikars. In those three seasons, he managed to slot in 10 goals.

He shifted again, this time to Bengaluru FC, where he appeared as a substitute in only two matches of The Blues’ 2013/14 I-League title triumph. Kuttymani comes into the Mumbai City FC side in good form, having played 15 matches in the I-League for Mumbai FC while scoring against Salgaocar (3-0 victory) and Bharat FC (2-0 victory).
