Bio
After starting his career with an Ivorian club Mimosas, he moved to Belgium and Zokora played over 100 matches for Belgian club Racing Genk, including a 1-1 draw against Real Madrid in the Champions League 2002-03. His performances in the 2006 World Cup earned him a contract with Tottenham Hotspur. He played a crucial part in beating Chelsea in the 2007-08 League Cup final and reached the 2008-09 final as well, which they lost to Manchester United on penalties. He then moved to Sevilla and helped them get back to the Champions League and also won a Copa del Rey with them.
With a 118 appearances for Ivory Coast, Zokora is the most capped player for his country and has represented his nation in the 2006 and 2010 FIFA World Cup. He managed two assists for FC Pune City in Hero ISL 2015 and will definitely enjoy playing in front of the passionate home support of the Highlanders as their marquee player this year.
