Ofentse Nato
Midfielder
Bio
Ofentse Nato began his professional career at Botswana’s local team Gaborone United. After spending four years at the club, he joined South African club Bidvest Wits. Nato then joined Mpumalanga Black Aces on loan for the 2013–14 PSL season. He has represented the Botswana national team on 31 occasions, scoring thrice. Two of those goals came in the 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
Nato formed a solid partnership with Borja in ATK’s title-winning Hero ISL campaign with Atlético de Kolkata in 2014 and his physical presence and willingness to close down the opposition was crucial to coach Antonio Lopez Habas’ high-pressing style of play. The midfielder from Botswana was just as influential in ATK’s semi-final run in Hero ISL 2015 and will have a big role to play at the centre of the park once again this year.
