A massive Cristiano Ronaldo fan, Alen was born in Guwahati, Assam and started his career with SAI (Sports Authority of India), before signing his first professional contract with Shillong Lajong FC, a club he was a part of till the end of the 2017-18 season. The striker was also a member of the Highlanders’ Hero ISL 2014 and 2015 squad. He made his senior national team debut in the Hero Intercontinental Cup 2018, coming on as a substitute in a 5-0 win over Chinese Taipei. Last season, Alen played just a single match- a number he will be significantly improve upon in the coming campaign.
