Peter Carvalho is one of the longest serving Dempo players and literally one of the unsung heroes of the star-studded team. The veteran joined Dempo in 2006 and has been playing with the Golden Eagles ever since. Carvalho uses his experience and outstanding vision to open up channels for his team mates. The muscular defensive midfielder is also a crisp tackler, helping to break up rival attacks and as the pivot of the team he has been instrumental securing numerous victories and honours for the Goan stalwarts. He has represented India in international friendlies against Maldives and Qatar in 2011. The defensive midfielder was used extensively at the start of the ISL by Zico, who used Peter to shield the defensive pairing of Bengelloun and Arnolin. He will need to maintain his performance levels in order to fit into one of the better defensive teams of the ISL, Kerala Blasters FC.
