Bio
The Cameroon-born goalkeeper joined Pyunik Yerevan, Armenia's most successful club as a 16-year-old. He won the league in each of his three-and-a-half seasons there, before moving to Europe, first to Rapid Bucharest and then to French giants Paris Saint-Germain. Bete made nearly 50 appearances for PSG.
He has also represented Armenia in international football. During Hero ISL 2014, Bete was on the books of Atlético de Kolkata, who eventually won the title. The Armenian shot-stopper was one of the best goalkeepers in the league with a save percentage of 86.3%. Hero ISL 2015 saw him lend his services to Chennaiyin FC, where he won his second Hero ISL title. He also bagged the Golden Glove award and moved to FC Pune City ahead of Hero ISL 2016.
