Mohammad Rafique Ali Sardar was part of East Bengal FC and Mohun Bagan AC’s youth academies, before getting selected by the Tata Football Academy. He featured for Jamshedpur FC in the 2018 Hero Super Cup and was retained ahead of the 2018-19 season. Rafique made his Hero ISL debut during the 2018-19 season, featuring for 17 minutes in the team’s final league match against Bengaluru FC. He made three more appearances during the 2019-20 season before returning to SC East Bengal ahead of Hero ISL 2020-21.
