Laxmikant Kattimani was part of the FC Goa squad during the inaugural season of Hero ISL in 2014. He played a big role in the Gaurs' run to the final of Hero ISL 2015. He saved two penalties in the final against Chennaiyin FC but his efforts went in vain. Kattimani was FC Goa's first-choice goalkeeper in the subsequent two seasons. After two runner-up finishes with the Gaurs, Kattimani, ahead of the 2019-20 edition, joined Hyderabad FC but featured only in six games. However, in 2020-21, he was back as a first-choice goalkeeper as Manuel Marquez’ men narrowly missed out on the semi-finals.
