Bio
Iván Bolado started his career with hometown club Racing Santander, coming up through the academy ranks and the reserve team before making his first team debut in 2007 against Barcelona. On the final day of the season, he scored against Osasuna in the dying minutes of the match, with the 1-0 win securing qualification for the 2007-08 UEFA Cup, the first instance of European football in Racing Santander’s history. Injury and squad depth curtailed his appearances over the next four seasons, although he scored a stunning bicycle kick against derby rivals Athletic Bilbao in 2010.
Bolado represented Spain at the under-19, U-20, and under-21 levels, but plays senior international football for Equatorial Guinea, the birth country of his father. He was called up for the 2012 African Cup of Nations.
