Bio
Gary Hooper began his career as a Tottenham Hotspur academy player at the age of seven before moving to Grays Athletic at the age of 14. Hooper made his senior team debut with the Grays in 2004 and helped them win the Conference South with 12 goals in 30 appearances before moving to Southend United. After a couple of impressive loan stints, in 2010 Hooper was picked by Scottish giants Celtic and represented them in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League. He also won the Scottish Cup and the League Championship with the club. The 2012-13 season was his personal best, scoring 31 goals in 51 appearances and led the team to the domestic double. He moved back to England to join Premier League club Norwich City FC and was their top scorer during his first season there before moving to Sheffield Wednesday, first on loan and then permanently. After three strong seasons with the club, he moved to the A-League to join Wellington Pheonix ahead of the 2019-20 season and scored nine goals as the club finished third. Hooper joined Kerala Blasters FC ahead of Hero ISL 2020-21 and scored five goals and assisted four.
