Nicholas Fitzgerald began his career as an U-21 player for Australian A-League club Central Coast Mariners in 2010 before going on to make his senior team debut there. He moved to Brisbane Roar in 2011 and went on to represent A-League clubs like Melbourne City, Western Sydney and Newcastle United Jets. He also had a second stint with Central Coast Mariners. The forward made eight appearances for Jamshedpur FC in the 2020-21 Hero ISL season but had no goal or assist to show for his efforts.
