NorthEast United FC attacker Ibson Melo has appeared in the vast majority of the team's Indian Super League games in 2023/2024, making nine appearances overall and playing 292 minutes. He has been selected in the starting XI in three of these appearances across their 12 fixtures and been predominantly used in a substitute role on six occasions. The last Indian Super League game that Melo played came on December 24 for NorthEast United FC versus Bengaluru FC; a match that he played 20 minutes in during a 1-1 draw. In total, the attacker has scored one Indian Super League goal in 2023/2024. His opening goal of the campaign came in the 2-1 victory against Jamshedpur FC on October 26. Last season for Khonkaen United, Melo made 25 Thai League 1 appearances, scored four goals and provided one assist. Before joining NorthEast United FC in July 2023, Melo made 54 league appearances in total at Khonkaen United, scoring 21 goals and providing three assists.
