Attacker Daniel Chima plays for Chennaiyin FC and has appeared in the vast majority of the club's Indian Super League games in 2024/2025, making 23 appearances overall and playing 841 minutes. He has been selected in the starting XI in eight of these appearances across their 24 fixtures and been predominantly used off the bench as a substitute on 15 occasions. Chima last appeared in the league on March 9 for Chennaiyin FC versus Jamshedpur FC. In that game he scored two goals and assisted another for his side in their 5-2 success. In total, he has netted six Indian Super League goals this term, making him the side's second-top league scorer, and chipped in with one assist. He has been shown two yellow cards. It was versus Odisha FC that Chima scored for the first time in the league this season in a 3-2 victory on September 14. Chima played 20 Indian Super League games last season for Jamshedpur FC, scored six goals and provided one assist. Chima moved to Chennaiyin FC in June 2024 from Jamshedpur FC, for whom he made 50 league appearances in total, scoring 18 goals and providing four assists.
