Bio
Born in Sfax, Tunisia, Chermiti started his career at JS Kairouan, later moving to Sousse-based side ES Sahel in 2006. He made quite a name for himself during his time there, helping the team win the Ligue I Pro (Tunisian top division) and the CAF (African) Champions League in his first season with the club. The striker netted five times in 12 appearances in the league and scored eight times in 11 matches in the CAF Champions League. Chermtiti went on to play for Bundesliga outfit Hertha Berlin, Saudi Arabian side Ittihad and Swiss team FC Zurich, with whom he won multiple pieces of silverware. The forward also represented clubs from France and Kuwait before making the move to Mumbai City. Chermiti has also represented the Tunisia national side more than 30 times, including in the Africa Cup of Nations.
