Lallianzuala Chhangte, the Mumbai City FC attacker, has played in the vast majority of the club's Indian Super League games in 2023/2024, making 25 appearances overall and accumulating 1,846 minutes of playing time. He has been selected in the starting XI in 20 of these appearances across their 24 fixtures and entered as a substitute on five occasions. The last time that Chhangte featured in the league came on May 4 for Mumbai City FC versus Mohun Bagan Super Giant; a game that he played 90 minutes in during a 3-1 win. The attacker has netted 10 Indian Super League goals this season, which is tied for the sixth most by a player in the competition in 2023/2024, whilst he also ranks joint fifth for Indian Super League assists this season having set up six goals for his team-mates. It was versus FC Goa on April 29 when Chhangte last scored, netting in a 2-0 win. His opening goal of the campaign came in the 4-0 victory against Bengaluru FC on December 8. Last season for Mumbai City FC, Chhangte made 22 Indian Super League appearances, scored 10 goals and provided six assists. Chhangte joined Mumbai City FC on loan in January 2022 from Chennaiyin FC, for whom he made 53 league appearances in total, scoring 12 goals and providing two assists. He switched to Mumbai City FC on a permanent basis in June 2022.
