Hatta's Jonathas has appeared in 10 Arabian Gulf League games in 2020/2021 since joining the club on 1st February 2021, being selected in the starting XI in nine of these and entering as a substitute on one occasion. Jonathas last appeared in a league game on May 11, playing 90 minutes for Hatta versus Al Ain in a 1-0 loss. In total, the attacker has notched six Arabian Gulf League goals this term, making him the side's top league scorer, and chipped in with one assist. He has amassed three yellow cards. Jonathas was last on target in the league in the 4-0 win against Kalba on May 7, netting in the 64th minute. He opened his account for the campaign against Ajman on February 13, scoring twice during a 3-0 victory. Last season for Elche, Jonathas made 16 Segunda División appearances and scored seven goals. Jonathas linked up with Hatta on loan in February 2021 from Elche, for whom he has made 16 league appearances in total, scoring seven goals, after joining the club in January 2020 from Hannover 96.
