Bio
John Stiven Mendoza Valencia is an exciting young Colombian forward. Mendoza is primarily a left winger, but can also play easily as a right winger or centre forward. He rose through the ranks of local clubs Deportivo Cali, Envigado FC, América de Cali and Cúcuta Deportivo and was part of the Colombian squad which finished fourth in the 2009 Under-17 FIFA World Cup.
After joining Chennaiyin FC last season, Mendoza’s direct running and pace made him an instant fan favourite. The Columbian had a brilliant return of four goals in the nine matches before an injury cut his season short. However, his performances attracted Brazilian giants Corinthians and he will be back after a season in Brazil.
