Castel spent his youth career with Barcelona-based, UE Rubi and Pamplona-based, Osasuna. Following that, he played for clubs like CD Tudelano, CD Lealtad and Las Rozas. In 2015, he moved abroad to sign for Australian outfit, FC Bendigo and later turned out for Vietnamese club, Than Quang Ninh. His most recent adventure before heading to Jamshedpur was at Segunda Division B side, SS Reyes. The Spaniard briefly joined Atletico Madrid's B team before being loaned out to Jamshedpur FC for Hero ISL 2019-20.
