Ishan Pandita was born in New Delhi before moving to the Philippines and then to Bangalore. In order to get better training and learn the game better, he moved to Spain in 2014 and spent his initial days in the youth set-up of UD Almería before eventually moving to CD Leganes and thus becoming the first Indian to sign a professional contract with a club in La Liga in 2016. He turned out for the club’s U-19 side. He then moved to Nastic de Tarragona for a stint in their U23 side before signing for Lorca FC. Pandita joined FC Goa ahead of the 2020-21 Hero ISL and set the league ablaze as a super sub before also going on to make this debut for the Indian national team. However, in a surprise move, he joined Jamshedpur FC ahead of the 2021-22 Hero ISL.
