Bio
Helder Postiga first broke onto the scene for Porto in the 2001-02 season but it was under Jose Mourinho in the 2002-03 campaign that he truly made a mark. The then 20-year-old, made his presence felt with 13 goals in a treble winning season for the Dragons as they clinched the Premeira Liga, UEFA Cup (Europa) and the domestic cup. English Premier League Tottenham Hotspur came calling and the Portuguese joined the London side in 2003-04. However, the striker moved back to Porto the next year and has had a glittering career at different clubs since.
In the international arena, Postiga was a regular fixture for the Portuguese national side and has played in two World Cups and three European Championships. However, the highlight of his career was when he reached the Euro 2004 final with Portugal. He has scored 27 times in his 67 international appearances. Postiga will don the role of ATK’s marquee player for the second season running after injury cut short his participation in Hero ISL 2015.
