After agreeing to a short-term deal, Gabonese defender Yrondu Musavu-King made his Bengaluru FC debut in a 5-0 win over Tribhuvan Army FC in the AFC Cup Preliminary Stage Two clash in April 2021. Two and a half months later, he got a two-year extension. The 29-year-old was new Blues head coach Marco Pezzaiuoli’s first foreign acquisition at the club. Musavu-King has featured at the international level with Gabon, making his debut in a 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Congo, and has turned out for clubs in Europe’s top divisions, like Granada, Udinese, Lorient and Toulouse, among others.
