Marquee player for Kerala Blasters FC in Season 3 of the Hero ISL, Aaron Hughes will bring an abundance of European pedigree to the Blasters ranks having spent most of his career in the top echelons of English football. A robust defender who is not shy to make a tackle or two, Hughes has played for English clubs like Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Fulham, Queens Park Rangers and Brighton & Hove Albion in both the Premier League and the Championship. He has earned over 100 caps for Northern Ireland and most recently represented his nation in Euro 2016. His 103 caps are the second most in his country's history and the most by any outfield player. He also holds the distinction of making the second-most number of appearances in the Premier League (455) without getting a red card, behind only Ryan Giggs.
