Bio
The Irishman, a native of Dublin, started his career with Home Farm FC, an Irish football team based in Dublin. Thereafter he was snapped up by Celtic spending time in their youth academies. Team success soon followed with victories in the Scottish Premier League two years running. Thereafter he was deemed surplus to the team’s requirements and was loaned out to Reading, Ipswich Town and Leeds before leaving Celtic for good to Toronto FC in Major League Soccer.
At the Reds he was named captain after an injury to Torsten Frings, yet he could not prevent the Reds from being the cellar dwellers of the tournament in 2012. Following this, he moved to Metalurh Donetsk, although his timing could not have been worse, coinciding with political unrest in the beleaguered nation. Nevertheless, with Mumbai City signing him, he will hope that his experience in India will be a better one.
