Born in Ukhrul in Manipur, Wungngayam Muirang began his youth career with Pune FC. Thereafter he joined FC Pune City’s academy and represented their reserve team before joining Hero I-League side Gokulam Kerala FC. Muirang joined Bengaluru FC ahead of Hero ISL 2020-21 and made his debut on December 13 against Kerala Blasters FC.
