Ankit Mukherjee, the Chennaiyin FC defender, has appeared in every one of the club's three Indian Super League games in 2024/2025 and played 224 minutes, starting in two of these and coming on as a substitute on one occasion. The last Indian Super League match that Mukherjee played came on October 1 for Chennaiyin FC against Hyderabad FC; a match that he played 90 minutes in during a 0-0 stalemate. A trip to NorthEast United FC on October 17 is the next Indian Super League game for Chennaiyin FC. Mukherjee played 20 Indian Super League games last season for Chennaiyin FC, scored two goals and provided one assist. Mukherjee linked up with Chennaiyin FC in July 2023 from East Bengal FC, for whom he made 28 league appearances in total.
