In spite of signing for A-League side Sydney FC in 2017, the central defender shifted to loyalties to Thai League 2 outfit Air Force United, having played 17 matches for the side in the 2018-19 season. However, he returned to Sydney FC in the following season, before he was loaned to Brisbane Roar. Having played most of his career in Australia, Flottmann hit the road when he was roped in by NorthEast United FC ahead of the ISL 2021-22.
