The Tamil Nadu-born Pradeep Mohanraj started off his footballing career with Chirag United Kerala. He joined Mumbai-based Hero I-League side Air India for the 2012-13 season, where he was a regular having played 23 matches, the most he has played in a season. This will be his first stint at a Hero ISL club. The central midfielder has also often been used in defensive positions for his previous clubs. This versatility can come in handy for him to break into the starting 11 for the Lions.
