Rakesh Pradhan is a product of Shillong Lajong FC’s youth academy and made 31 appearances for the club in the Hero I-League between the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons. The young defender made 15 appearances in his debut Hero ISL campaign with NorthEast United FC in 2019-20. Solid at the back and potent at making overlapping runs, Pradhan can also contribute going forward and was retained by the club ahead of the 2020-21 Hero ISL season. Pradhan, however, moved to Odisha FC on loan during the January transfer window.
