Martin Diaz is an Uruguayan defender who started his professional career with Defensor Sporting in Uruguay in the 2008-09 season. Having played most of his football in Uruguay, he joined NorthEast United FC in 2017. He is a central defender, who is equally capable at defensive midfield, a position he played the majority of time last season for the Highlanders. He has been roped in by FC Pune City in the 2018-19 season to add defensive stability.
