Mohamed Ali made his senior debut for Dempo SC back in 2015. He subsequently moved to NEROCA FC and stayed there for a year, after which he was picked by FC Goa in the draft leading up to Hero ISL 2017-18. The defender made a strong impression in his first season at the club, making 17 appearances. However, opportunities dwindled for him in the next three seasons. He also played in the 2021 AFC Champions League.
