Rana Gharami was part of the U-21 West Bengal football team that won Gold at the 2011 National Games. After representing Mohun Bagan AC, the defender was handed the opportunity to play in the Hero ISL after being signed up by Delhi Dynamos FC. Gharami introduced himself in style as he scored a cracking goal from range in his debut match against FC Pune City, which also earned him the distinction of being the first Indian goal scorer in Hero ISL 2018-19. He played 14 matches for the Lions during the 2018-19 season, before making four appearances during the 2019-20 season. He will don the red and gold of SC East Bengal for the 2020-21 Hero ISL season.
