Joyner Lourenco began his career with local club Goa Velha. In 2010, he joined Hero I-League side Sporting Clube de Goa and made his debut in 2011 against Pune FC. In 2014, the defender was selected in the 20-man India U-23 side for the Asian Games. He spent the 2017-18 Hero ISL season with Bengaluru FC and was signed by Mumbai City FC the following season. Joyner had a productive campaign with the Islanders and played 10 matches during their run to the semi-finals. With Jamshedpur FC in the 2019-20 season, Lourenco played 10 matches and bagged one assist. He made five more appearances for them in Hero ISL 2020-21. He joined SC East Bengal ahead of the 2021-22 season.
