Born in Punjab, Mohd Sajid Dhot started his career with the Chandigarh Football Academy. Before the 2015-16 Hero I-League, he signed for DSK Shivajians and made his professional debut against Salgaocar FC. The versatile defender was with Delhi Dynamos FC for two seasons in 2017-18 and 2018-19, making 13 appearances for them in the Hero ISL. Playing in Odisha FC colours in Hero ISL 2019-20, Dhot made four appearances, which went up to six in 2020-21.
