East Bengal FC's Nishu Kumar has played in a strong number of the team's Indian Super League games in 2024/2025, making 13 appearances overall and accumulating 845 minutes of playing time. He has been selected in the starting XI in eight of these appearances across their 24 fixtures and entered as a substitute on five occasions. The last Indian Super League match that Kumar played came on March 8 for East Bengal FC against NorthEast United FC; a game that he played 90 minutes in during a 4-0 loss. He has been booked once. In last season's Indian Super League, Kumar appeared in 20 games for East Bengal FC and created three assists. Kumar linked up with East Bengal FC on loan in June 2023 from Kerala Blasters FC, for whom he made 37 league appearances in total, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
