Mizoram defender Lalchhawnkima joined Royal Wahingdoh for the Shillong Premier League, and later played in the I-League second division. He was part of the squad which won promotion to the I-League. Coach Santhosh Kashyap kept his faith in the squad that won promotion as Lalchhawnkima became an integral part of the Royal Wahingdoh team which finished 3rd in the I-League in its first attempt. He started all 20 I-League matches for Royal Wahingdoh in the 2014-15 season. Hero ISL 2016 with Delhi Dynamos FC was his second stint in the league having previously been a part of Atletico de Kolkata in the inaugural season. This year, he will turn up in the colours of Mumbai City FC.
