Lucian Goian first arrived in the Hero ISL after signing for the Islanders in 2016 and helped the club qualify for their first-ever semi-finals. He was the first foreign player to play for Mumbai City in three consecutive seasons, and even captained the side in Hero ISL 2017-18. Goian holds the record for number of appearances, tackles completed and interceptions made for Mumbai City. Having moved to Chennaiyin for Hero ISL 2019-20, the Romanian defender will be hoping to use his experience to guide the club to their third title.
