The Atletico de Kolkata man started off in the lower leagues of Portugal and ultimately made it to Portuguese giants FC Porto in 2010. His footballing sojourn took him to several countries including Spain, Germany and Turkey. The centre-back who made his national team debut in 2013 against Croatia will be playing in Asia for the first time in Hero ISL 2016.
