Gurtej Singh, the Mohammedan defender, has not appeared in a great number of the side's I-League games in 2020/2021, making six appearances overall and playing 272 minutes. He has started in one of these appearances across their 15 fixtures and been mostly used in a substitute role on five occasions. Singh last made an appearance in a league game on March 10, playing 35 minutes for Mohammedan versus Punjab in a 3-3 draw.In last season's Indian Super League, Singh appeared in zero games for East Bengal. Singh linked up with Mohammedan on loan in January 2021 from East Bengal, for whom he has made zero league appearances in total, after joining the club in August 2020 from Hyderabad.
