The centre-back started his youth career with Athletic Bilbao and had senior caps with CD Basconia, CD Elgoibar, and SCD Durango. Onaindia is a well-known face for Hyderabad FC as he featured in all the matches for Hyderabad FC in the Hero ISL 2020–21 season. After a short stint with Mirandes, the defender rejoined Hyderabad FC.
