Bio
Robert Lalthlamuana is a well-known figure in the Indian footballing circuit thanks to his exertions in the country’s biggest leagues. The Tata Football Academy graduate was moulded into a marauding left-back by Karim Bencherifa at Churchill Brothers, churning out a host of impressive performances with the Goan outfit. His consistency was noted by the national selectors and the Mizo player featured in the India under-23 campaign at the 2010 Asian Games, as well as the AFC Challenge Cup and he also transited to the senior team in due course. He has won all the major domestic honours in an impressive club career, either with the Red Machines (Churchill Brothers) or East Bengal, whom he joined in 2011. The former Delhi Dynamos and ATK player was signed by his native club NorthEast United FC in the summer of 2017 as part of their plan to add more experience to their youthful side. His performance at the back will be crucial to Eelco Schattorie’s plans for the 2018-19 season.
