The defender has been around in top-flight Indian football for more than a decade now, having represented top clubs from both the Hero I-League and Hero ISL. A former Mohun Bagan and East Bengal player, Chhetri first turned out in the Hero ISL for Kerala Blasters in 2014, playing 12 matches for them. He missed out in the 2015 season due to an injury but returned to churn out two good seasons with the Highlanders. In the 2018-19 term, Chettri played just a single match for the Gaurs and will be hoping to get more minutes in the coming campaign.
