Avinabo Bag is a product of the AIFF’s Pailan Arrows project. The Bengali right back is versatile enough to occupy the right midfielder slot when needed. Trevor Morgan noticed his skills during the IMG-R players’ conditioning camp last year and that may have played a role in his induction into Kerala Blasters. In the 2012-13 season, Bag played 16 times for Pailan Arrows in the I-League under Arthur Papas and showed his versatility and adaptability. Though short in stature, the stoutly built player remains unruffled on the pitch and is comfortable on the ball. Bag spent last season on loan at second division outfit Eagles FC and now finds himself back in familiar territory.
