FC Goa coach Zico rued missed opportunities after his team’s 2-2 draw in the 2015 Hero Indian Super League against hosts FC Pune City at the Sree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Stadium in Pune on Sunday evening.Goa were on course to take three points and consolidate their position at the top of the table when Adrian Mutu scored in added time to earn a point for the Stallions. Though not displeased, Zico said they could have done better. “So when you have so many opportunities, you have to score. When you lose the opportunities, you give the other team the opportunity to score. Almost at the end of the game, Romeo [Fernandes] had a chance to score but he couldn’t and then Adrian got a chance at the other end and he scored. I believe in the philosophy that the game isn’t over till the final whistle,” Zico told reporters after the match.“I would feel much happier with three points. Pune is as tough as any away game like Chennai etc. One point [from the match], I wouldn’t complain but I would have been happier with three points.”For Goa, Rafael Coelho, playing his second game this season after joining the team as a replacement for the injured Victor Simoes earlier in the week, scored the equaliser before Jonatan Lucca made it 2-1. Zico was happy with Coelho’s performance. “He is a very good player. We know him from Brazil. We are happy to have him,” Zico said. Both teams’ marquee players – Lucio from Goa and Mutu from Pune – did live up to their billing. On their performances, Zico said: “So they are fantastic players. When players take care of themselves, you can see the performance. They are at 36, 37 but it’s not too late for them and they play well…You just have to take care of yourself and you can play good football.”
